Cayenito (Luis Rodríguez) is a Puerto Rican composer, guitarist, and cultural innovator whose work bridges the traditional and the contemporary. Rooted in the island’s jíbaro heritage, his music fuses folk rhythms with classical and modern elements, creating a sound that is both organic and forward-looking.

Through his project Desde Puertorro, Cayenito is building a cultural platform that connects Puerto Rico with its diaspora through high-quality live performances streamed from the island. His mission is to empower Puerto Rican artists, celebrate the island’s beauty, and reimagine what it means to make Puerto Rican music in the 21st century.

From the mountains of Puerto Rico comes a new sound — organic, handmade, and full of soul. “Nuestra Música Jíbara es Alta Costura” (Our Jíbaro Music is Haute Couture) is more than a concert — it’s a movement that celebrates the elegance, depth, and evolution of Puerto Rican culture.
